About Me

My photo
here I am in a little cottage that evokes the energies of my ancestral lands - a cottage on the moors of Cornwall, or on the cliff tops of Ireland or Scotland. It has a hearth. I am a hedge witch {of sorts}. I wear upcycled clothes, patchouli oil and Redback boots. I am a gypsy; an eccentric and a mystic [I often live with a foot in two worlds]. I serve my guests, tea from an old silver teapot. I love Vervain, yarrow, chamomile & mint. Star watcher and Moon gazer. story cloth weaver. keeper of family dreams and wishes. good friend and creator of life. herbal tea drinker and potion maker.

Nimbin - Village of colour & messages

Joe & I took a day to drive to Nimbin. through gorgeous tree canopied roads, some more like narrow laneways than actual roads, lined with old farmhouses and farmland, growing tropical fruits, vegetables and grazing cows.
a tiny village set in the gorgeous hinterland of the far north coast. land of lushness. a village from the 1970's.. a time of peace and love.. a vision of harmony for all.. and of course the drug culture back in the '70's.. peace, free love and 'cool man'...

I love Nimbin!

Nimbin has kept it's quaintness to a degree, there is an underbelly element, drugs being sold on the street. youth dressed like they belong in the Bronx or on stage with some rap singer.
but that is not the norm..most people are old hippies, wanting the best for Mother Earth.. some are off the planet in some kind of euphoric drug haze, some offering cookies or a bag....
the shops are colourful, selling all types of fun stuff.. all harking back to the colourful '70's. food is mostly healthy.. and the signs, such fun to just wander reading positive, healing words..
